Is the idea of a “higher being” and "creation" to simplistic to make the discussion?

"higher being" can't be defined. Intelligence includes itself. No alien civilization has ever been able to create a thinking being. The beings they do create are just elaborate automatons. Be that as it may their automatons are far more intelligent than any humans. Must be that organic life has a property that be emulated in process. It's something like the ability to make error.

This thought would end all speculation on how things got here and put more emphasis on why?

You can't apply a "why" within the physical universe about the physical universe. This claim can be made rigorous and is equivalent to the undecidability theorems of metamathematics. Can't swallow your own tail.

'How' tries to explain the past but gives no insight as to the future.

Scary. Consider that 'crats still exist after 40 years of false ideas that have brought nothing but trouble. What have they learned? Nothing. They want socialism, things like universal health care, while all the rest of the world tries to get rid of it. Notice no one ever mentions this this point except me? What have GM's and F's union learned over the last 30 years? Nothing. They have no intention of getting competitive. Both of these examples do give a view of the future though. It's like King Yudisthira's vision of hell.
