Are you sure? I can't recall ever seeing a Thai female monk, and I can recall gazillions of Thai male monks.

LOL. Touche! Lot's of hypocricy in religion. Difference is that in the US you at least have the choice to make the post you just made without going home and being beaten to a pulp or killed by your muslim husband. In addition, you have the freedom to renounce your faith and call it all sorts of names without being called an apostate and being condemned to death by stoning or beheading by the local tribunal. Consider yourself lucky, Amy. I don't really think you know the degree of freedom we all enjoy in the US. It surpasses every Muslim country on earth. That's for damn sure.

lets see, the Muslims rip out a woman's finger nails if she has nail polish on them. I don't think catholics do that.
