J3pflynn, Its been eons since Intel has posted a loss. I think it would scare people too much. Intel is like GM used to be in many respects. IMO

I do think that the price war is possible and did argue for it for a while now. Winning back designs is not as important as not letting amd break into intel control segments...

PS with claimed lead of 20% to 40% of mid-range conroe over top of the line amd's winning designs should not be an issue for intel
