Tenchusatsu, RE: "I'm getting tired of you trying to hammer that point into my head, that we need more women leaders and that men just have to move over and accept that "truth.""

Where did I say "men have to move over" ? (I haven't heard that expression since a kid during the 70s.) With 95% of Congress being controlled by males, I'm pretty certain you could find the ability to see the value in having more women in Congress.

RE: "Anyone who doesn't completely see it your way has a "lack of empathy and understanding.""

When you repeat what you think I said, it sure doesn't match what I said. For starters, you assume that reserved slots can't be additions. You are missing the big concept of equality, while you focus on details that I am not focused on.

RE: "you come across as extremely arrogant and close-minded"

Close-minded because I have the audacity to call attention to the fact that it is unfair to have 95%+ of Congress controlled by men that make decisions about women?

Btw, if the Walmart suit goes through, it'll become law to make judgment according to statistical facts, so you may want to get used to it now rather than later.

RE: "which is typical of your colleagues in your political circle"

Well, given that I started my own company and have hired people of all sorts of political diversity, it sounds like your comment is inaccurate. Btw, an Intel executive said he's never seen a more diverse startup in his life - whether that be in age - young or old, race - black, white, yellow, orange, brown. We also truly have the political spectrum at our startup. To quote another person, "I've never seen a group of such diverse people with such diverse viewpoints, ever work together, yet somehow you all do so in such a cohesive fashion. It's amazing."

RE: "You say men like me feel "threatened" by women and diversity?"

Reread what I wrote. You are claiming I said something, that I didn't say. Here's what I said: you asked me about my friends and I informed you they are not threatened by women and diversity. I did not say anything about you. Owe up to your mistake. Why would I assume you are threatened by women?

My message repeatedly expressed disappointment that you conveyed sarcasm over diversity. It's the sarcasm you expressed, that's at issue here.

RE: "Typical feminist prejudice"

Hm. Sounds like you might be the one with the prejudgement in your interpretations.

Btw, this is the first time I've seen you write something negative about "feminist". This surprises me. Why would you have something against feminism, which by definition is the belief in women having the freedom to express their choices - whether that be the freedom to work, freedom to spend their time in another way, freedom to have children, freedom not to have children, and the freedom to put forth the rights for women. I never would have classified you as someone that would be hostile to women being free. You certainly don't come across to me as being that extreme.
