Oral and Thread, the same symptoms can be exhibited by a person inebriated on alcohol/drugs. < Ah, well I wouldn't know:) Evidently this was studied and they found with just some simple observation that a layman can see the facial weakness with the smile, etc. And as Laz has proven, anything any of us can do to get a loved one quickly to the hospital the better, even if we do just find out Uncle Buck is smoked on shine:)
