Bush-Cheney deliberately lied to get us into this war, then failed to plan for the aftermath of the invasion. According to the Middle East station chief the CIA tried to tell Bush-Cheney there might be no WMD but no one would listen. Or maybe they hear the CIA but reported what they wanted. After all maybe they would find WMD and by that time it would be to late to stop the war. The CIA also predicted the insurgency and civil war if Bush-Cheney invaded without the UN by its side. That happened too. Kerry also warned about rushing in without a post-invasion plan.
