Kerry also said that he'd hold Bush responsible if GW broke his promise to congress (which GW did), to only invade as a last resort after all diplomatic options were exhausted, after WMD were found by inspectors and after we'd put together a large coalition and cohesive post-invasion plan.

Nice of you to clip that one line out of a long speech Kerry gave when he voted. Kerry did want to make sure Saddam was disarmed. But he was in no way supportive of a rush to war, especially based on false intel with few partners and little preparation.
