PS3: Sony has been busy shooting itself in the foot again. PS3 now officially being released a FULL YEAR after XBOX360. they will now have no chance in America and Europe. Xbox Live will have at least 5 million subscribers compared to zero at Sony when PS3 becomes widely available.
the amazing thing about this delay is that a lot of it seems to be due to improving the copy protection features of Blu-Ray, a disc format nobody even HAS yet. so, again, Sony is more concerned with what benefits the content provider than what benefits the consumer (or what the consumer cares about). the consumer certainly doesn't care about strong copy protection, as Sony's dismal MP3 sales attest.
now Sony is mainly a provider of overpriced, second-rate consumer electronics as Panasonic, Samsung, and others eat its lunch. their image is severely tarnished and it would take a miracle to save them at this point.
