Did you know that Hitler used this tactic? I was reading a few things: - Hitler was against birth control and against abortion - Hitler started a religious political agenda - Hitler would accuse innocent people/organizations of doing ABC, while in fact, he was doing ABC. The US OSS govt said this actually was Hitler's strategy of diffusing an issue before it came out in public. The above sounds very, very familiar to Bushism (Rovism). It's rather scary. Makes you wonder what might be next? If there's no balance created, I'm guessing the next phase will be incremental attacks on the judicial system and erosion of privacy, that could allow for something really nasty in the future. When the Boomers retire and deficits/inflation kick in, I hope things don't get really ugly in the USA. Spiraling inflation may have conditioned the citizens in Germany to become like sheep under a murderer.
