I'm assuming he was making a joke related to an exchange I had with another poster the other day where they said AMD CPUs weren't noticably faster in his use and I said his use wasn't typical. He said it didn't matter because the CPU is idle the vast majority of the time in office apps. I then mentioned as analogy that it didn't matter how much of the time my car spent parked, at red lights, in a drive thru lane, etc because I still need it to get up to highway speeds when I'm on the interstate. Your car did 8mph average over 14 days but I'm sure your top speed during that period was an order of magnitude higher.
