The stars are aligned and the timing is right Shades. Some event triggers the back up in rates between now and Memorial Day.. The worst combination of a housing bust, tighter lending standards, folks tied to the housing ponzi scheme hit from all sides and higher rates could be upon us. Still think overall it won't be horrible for the real economy.

If it was the stock market would have failed two tests:
*decline in January
*the lows in the first quarter 2006 breaking below fourth quarter 2005 low
