There were many falling people from the WTC. My Born Again cousin witnessed it and it freaked him out so badly he turned to alcoholism and lost his faith in God. It was truly shocking. And the shock of it explains why the American People turned into loyal sheep for 2-3 years afterward, giving way too much power to a selfish and secretly scheming rightwing which abused that trust and power for their own gain. What we got for trusting Bushies was Iraq, Katrina, 3+ trillion in new deficits, divisive smear campaigns and a corrupt new Medicare system.
