Kerry is not drab. He is not Clintonesque, but no one is. What the Bush smear machine did was to forget all positive messages and issues and just put 150 million dollars and millions of dittoheads behind one message, that Kerry is "weak and flakey on defense and was no hero in Vietnam". But Kerry was a hero in Vietnam. He was right about ending the war too. And right about holding our horses before rushing into Iraq. Also, he had the exact same defense budget voting record as Zell Miller. It is Bush who is weak on defense. Sure he spends more than anyone in history and talks tough, but he's so clueless and corrupt he has wasted half the money and has created more enemies than he's destroyed.
