I'll try to dig up the piece on an ER physician I used to work with who lived to ski. It's a hoot. Laz often reminds me of Dr. Ski Bum.

Back in the '70's I had a roommate who was a 4th year medical student.

He picked his residency (Salt Lake City) for proximity to skiing.

On our honeymoon cruise we were able to make a day trip to Playa Del Carmen (San Diego?). The highway was very nice but clearly constructed in the twenty years previous to then.

Laz certainly seems to enjoy global travel. In that respect he reminds me of one of my grandmothers. She however was widowed for over twenty years; my grandfather died of a heart attack in his fifties. Hmmm, I wonder...

Peter, here it is! Allow me to introduce Dr. Ski Bum. I did not realize I had posted it about a year ago on this very thread. - Holly

<edit- I think many might see how I can relate this story to Laz and his seeming addiction to travels to places where danger lurks and often bites.>
