That's potentially. The machinery is all there, but that doesn't mean it can or will be used. Using it effectively requires the renunciation of prejudice. You give 'them' to much credit perhaps? There's no credit transaction there. I always recognize anything of value because failing to do so would be like seeing a flower dying of thirst in a dessert. Recognition that humans all have the same brain cells is no accomplishment.>> The same brain cells may be there, or if you crack open a skull many brains may look about the same to most people, but I believe it has been demonstrated that on average, the most intelligent people such as scientists actually have larger brains than the least, etc etc. Beyond that, each person's brain is controlled by unique DNA which probably differentiates brain function more than gross size matters. Human intelligence may look like a tiny spectrum of incompetence to aliens, but to us on Earth the spectrummakes a huge difference. Another movie reference...remember the movie in which Sean Penn is a mentally disabled Dad? Michele Pfeifer is urging him to do more, better, faster. He says...'You don't understand...I try and I try and I try and I try...and I just don't get there.' Or something like that. I think there are highly significant barriers to intellectual accomplishment and limits for people that can never be surpassed no matter how unprejudiced one can make oneself. if you are highly gifted both physically and intellectually, I can see how possibly your bias would be that anyone could do what you could do if they just try hard enough. Sadly, I don't think so. We may have been created 'equally but that only lasts until the first cry is heard. Humans are not with the same potentials. <<The aliens think we're animals and can't understand why we think one human is more intelligent than another.>> The aliens are arrogant, lol. <<Writing is the definition of intelligence.>> The ability to make decisions that put off immediate reward for a greater reward at a later time is the definition of intelligence. That is, looking at a problem and finding as closely as possible the IDEAL solution. <<They have written language but mostly it's used as a declaration of macho or of religion, and that's the best human equivalent I can give. >> Well I agree that if the brain memory capacity is so good that anything of import is effortlessly memorized, there is littleneed for written language. <<For example, what is the purpose of a mandala?>> Looks like a Mandala is for fun. A Mandala makes you feel good.
