I do not follow any of the brokerages but I find it interesting that analysts would miss estimates by such huge margins without being immediately cynical.

While a GS analysts probably cannot issue an opinion on GS, that person most likely knows how well GS is doing and if they are doing great, would it not be reasonable to assume that their competitors who are in the same business would be doing just as well?

We know it is a rigged game but can they make it a little less obvious?

I also wonder how much these derivatives are deriving income for these houses?
