Likely, Bush would appoint someone like George Allen, which could set up an all Virginia race. And if Allen and Warner were nominated they might both pick someone from Massachusetts, Kerry and Romney. So a Virginia-Massachusetts race. On the other hand, who knows and who cares right now?

Cheney won't step down unless the DEmocrats take congress, then he might take the money and run for the hills of Wyoming. Or even farther away.
