Thallium - I expect much of the thallium price is driven by the cost & liability insurance of very hazardos material, compounded by the need for MUCH higher purity (that 5 nines stuff) for superconductivity and medical applications.

I doubt if there was much worry about impurities in rat poison, even though the rats could get sick....
