what do you mean?
the Japanese Nikkei editorial page has often said he is a lame duck and the company is effectively run out of Japan.

I have to admit, when I was in college in the late 80s, there was all this japanese paranoia going on in the US, and I got a summer job at Fujitsu. The japanese management did *all the things* I felt were wrong with big US companies at that time, except excessively so. Examples being senior management that didn't do sh!t except hang around on the golf course all day, massive political inbreeding and an inability to get ahead unless you were japanese no matter how good you were, dead wood who could not be fired, etc. But then, the world was at Japan's feet and they relished in their success it was amazing. I always wondered how it would work out.
