I am sure they will appreciate how worthwhile the NRA's endeavor is.

So how is the NRA defending this homeless guy?

By fighting laws that would restrict the sale and owning of guns. And I know its not all the NRA's fault. However, they contribute to the problem.....by encouraging the use of weapons; by supporting the gun manufacturers and the stores that sell them. There is a flourishing market for guns in this country.....some legal, some not.........NRA is not responsible for that market, but they help with its success.

As a consequence too many insane people get a hold of guns, too many criminals get a hold of guns; too many gang bangers get a hold of guns; too many innocent children get a hold of guns. And please, don't come back with there would be illegal gun trafficking with or without the NRA. The truth is in countries where guns are not legal or their ownership is restricted dramatically, illegal gun trafficking plays a much smaller role than it does in the US. Look no further than Canada.

I like fireworks but because too many kids get hurt from them, I encourage their restriction. Sometimes you have to forego what you like for the good of everyone. That's what's meant by the common good.
