I think that "notebook inventories" story is just the same old Intel inventory build-up exposed in Intel's warning. And I really think that lack of 64-bit capability is hurting Yonah notebook sales big-time. Vista, will run under 32-bits, but corpoarations want EXACTLY the same operating system on all their PCs, and the 32-bit Vista isn't close enough. By personal experience, I already know that retail salespeople are promoting 64-bitness.
