Increases at the margins dont worry me but abolition of div tax does--so exclude 80%, not 85%--thats ok. Same with marginal tax rates. One point is tinkering--going back to old rates would be a danger. And for Gods sake look at the budget. I have defended bush 100% for not paying attention to spending because then back in 2001-02 it would have become a pissing contest on spending and the cuts never would have happened. Now 3-4 years into, spending does matter.
