What would you have Democrats do considering they can't bring a single bill onto the house floors, nor force a single investigation?

Concern themselves with how to productively run a country. Take energy for example. Rather than bash Bush over oil, cultivate a group of technocrats & researchers who are making progress on the issues. Hold productive conferences on the subject, publish useful papers, etc. Then try to nudge the Reps to support it as well. Don't worry about being in front of the camera to claim exclusive credit. Voters will figure that out in the end. Just stop focusing on bashing the right. That does very little good.

Same goes for environmental issues like global warming as well. Support trying to really understand whats going on, and what can be done. Don't simply yell that the sky is falling.

Also, don't get me wrong. I've looked enough at the evidence to see that most of the right wing, when they stray into science, are hopeless. But very hopelessly opinionated as well. Yelling at them does not change their opinions. Eventually good data does. That must be the approach.
