I fully agree with your assessment of the moslum treatment of women, but you also have to understand the pre 9/11 "cold war" mentality which we had for so many years, which was that the enemy of our enemy is our friend... of course, after 9/11 that kind of thinking no longer worked for us so we had to rethink our foreign policy strategies and alliances accordingly... this is fair enough, no one can be faulted for using an alliance, even with sadam, prior to 9/11... after that attack, things had to change... this is the main difference in perspective between the left and the right, the left seems to want to go back to the pre 9/11 days while the right sees we can never go back... GZ
