Well, GEE... that third-hand rumor of a rumor from unknown people MUST have been telling the TRUTH... because we ALL REMEMBER the big speech Bush II gave where he explained the 'proof' the US has that Saddam was a partner in the 9-11 attacks! :) (It ain't like the WH officially, and to this day, denies that there is any evidence that Saddam was involved in the 9-11 attacks....)
