This is what happened today for me-------was already in the stock GBNT, got up late so missed the early high in the 2.90's range.

So checked in and turned on the streamer-----could see the range from 2.70 to 2.98----stock was at about 2.80 when I looked. So then I looked at INET----was obvious that the buyers were wanting the stock. Then I got mesmerized with the streamer and analyzing what the market was doing----turned on the 5 minute chart for the day and educated myself somemore.

I even thought about the 50% retracement applied to a one day run.

Then started watching crazy bollinger bands. Knew the stock was going to break----in a range from 2.83 to 2.87----but wasn't sure what direction, up or down. The INET screen showed about 2.83-------got tired and decided to put in a limit order to sell at 2.88----decided that was acceptable if I should be so lucky as to have the sell go.

Know you are ahead of me now-----anyhow, the stock started moving up and took out the 2.88 and then on to 2.91. Then saw on INET that those wanting to sell were moving above $3.00.

This is what I call getting too much into my brain------yes I learned a lot and will always remember that "bollinger band" pattern.

So now I am outhe of the stock------do I look to reenter or do I go to my next idea that has been perking.

Pulling the trigger, as you noted, is the hardest part of the trading imo----trusting ones judgment. (This can work on the upside and the downside.)

Bill, don't feel you have to respond to this saga in detail. Just know you are not alone when it comes to pulling the trigger------took me a long time to decide to put in that limit order.

Glad you had a positive week anyway Bill...vs my strongly negative week. SVVS really ran a lot further than I would have guessed and I missed most of it's moves too inspite getting in initially in the .80's...carp! It is a continuous learning process trading stocks and then they keep changing the rules...LOL! tuna
