I think I know what you mean, as my hoard has thankfully stopped 'correcting' and appears now to be 'solidly' underpinned by CONTINUING INFLATION. Blessed be BurnAndKaput ! I am doing nothing in the market at the moment, just holding what I am holding and not be tempted to risk being whiplashed. That was last week. Next week may be different :0) <<COCONUT>> ... At 18 months, she is a very good little girl, learning more and exploring every day. She now likes slides, swings, running on sand, swimming in bath tub, in addition to her earlier hobbies of telephone, scribbling, and pulling on the dog's tail. She now feeds herself bread, helps herself to water, and says 'pooo' when she wants to go poopoo, and 'booook' when she wants to look at pictures. So far, no fevers, only coughed once or twice, sniffled a few more times, otherwise no difficulties with health. Knock wood, and spin around three times. At the playground she engages with folks large and small by saying 'hi' or 'hellooo'. Whenever music comes on, she starts dancing to tune, be it classical or R&B or reggae. Whenever mom plays the piano, coconut insists on playing along if not dancing, and insists a score is flipped through in front of her, whether or not mom is looking at a score. She is very observant. She can identify and pronounce a bunch of animals now. Simply wonderful. So far, no particular instances where spoiling effects are on show. No temper tantrums, no cries over issues other than tired and no destructive bent whatsoever. When other little kids cry, the coconut would try to comfort them by trying to hold their hands, or patting them on the head or shoulder. The Coconut does tease a bit, or, by observation of others, a lot. She would hold out something, get somebody interested in wanting a closer look, and withdraw the object from reach and/or view. No one taught her to act this way. She does help in cleaning up after herself in the matter of toys and such, and she places shoes in correct location after use. She also takes care of her box of squeaky clean silver coins, playing with them once per day, at 8:30pm, before bath at 9:00. She makes sure to, on her own, place the coins back into the wooden box and hands the box to me to place high above her on the shelf. Truly mysterious. Chugs, J
