The Senate budget bill would clear the way to opening the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling, but the outlook for that provision is uncertain given strong resistance by Republican moderates in the House and a long legislative route before final approval. Yeah, I think that was Cantwell's concern........she is in a tight race here because people are disgusted with her voting record when it comes to Iraq. So she is doing everything she can to prove that she is a good liberal........and she has picked up the no ANWR drilling banner and run with it.
