Yep, but Bush ain't running for anything anymore!

The recent round of polling *also* showed (re: the Dubai deal) that when Congressional Republicans separate themselves from the Prez's positions, their public popularity rebounds.

So... I wouldn't necessarily extrapolate from *Bush's poll numbers* to the mid-term election prospects for the Republican incumbents.

If the best the dems have is to attack a lame duck president, I'd say the dems are in pretty sorry shape...
