"Bush approval under 40% in red states of...." Yep, but Bush ain't running for anything anymore! The recent round of polling also showed (re: the Dubai deal) that when Congressional Republicans separate themselves from the Prez's positions, their public popularity rebounds. So... I wouldn't necessarily extrapolate from Bush's poll numbers to the mid-term election prospects for the Republican incumbents.
