I figured after the mosque bombing they had picked out some hardcore targets then saddled up to go kick ass and take names and show the bad guys that such a destabilizing gesture wouldn't go unanswered by the forces that want political unity and security in Iraq.

Is it just the arms cache and a few terrorists only with no civilians killed?

If that is so then the press would have no interest, liberal or not, since that news does not sell.
