Yup, I caught that "self described" bit too. It only goes to show you how dishonest & deep in denial libs really are as a group.

During the last election, internal polling (or was it sheer numbers of registered voters?) showed that Republicans had for the first time in decades caught (actually slightly passed) Dems at roughly 37% each. That was last November. Little has happened in that short period that would dramatically alter these numbers. Spin it all you want but a vast majority of conservatives are Republicans & a vast majority of libs are Dems. If anything, I would argue that there are more conservative Dems than there are liberal Republicans. In any event, both sets of numbers are apples to apples enough to make reasonable inferences IMO.

Here you have more internal polling just a few months later. Conservatives are tracking consistently with polling from last November. Libs on the other hand have dramatically dropped 54% (from 37% to 16%). How can that be?

Could it be like all those polls taken of MSM journalists where a majority of them claim they too are "moderates", yet they overwhelmingly vote for Dems? Heck, some of those polls also ask questions on multiple issues. They too show these alleged "moderates" have very liberal leanings based on their answers.

And then there was your example of the so-called 'View from the (left of) Center. It's but one example of the countless numbers of far left wingers on SI who pretend they are "moderates". And look at how often these people feel the need to verbalize their "centrist" credentials.

On the other hand how often do you see an obvious right winger repeatedly asserting they are a "moderate"?
