What improvement in American economy are we talking about. We need only look at the figures of those who have fallen off the unemployment rolls because they have stopped looking for jobs (chronically unemployed). And then we have PhD scientists and engineers who made the big bucks and contributed significantly to the research and science and development of this country in the 90's are now opening up hamburger and hot dog stalls with the last of their savings. I guess that is what Bush means by "every person owns their own business". Yes indeed cowboys in Texas own their own ranch but that is not what made this nation stand up above the rest in the world.
