For the QCOM vets, there are also 3 brand new networks being built out in the 1.7GHz band in Japan, all CDMA. One is TD-CDMA from IPWireless(where is that qcom license?<g>), an all-IP network that will require IP Voice. Second one is from Softbank, they are using WCDMA and are a virtual lock for Sonus, along with the need to converge SoftBank BB, Japan Telecom, and now VOD Japan. The third one is also WCDMA, Ericsson is providing the RAN, I know very little else about this one.
