>>The Demos need to seize the opportunity and present an alternative plan and seize the moment. So we hold Bush accountable, he relents, bids his time until Nov. 2006 and then s tarts the same game all over again. Instead, the Dems should look ahead and present their plan and kick the Republicans in 2006.<<

CSFO -

Kerry tried to keep his campaign positive and look what it did for him. He fell into Rove's trap. The Republicans kept calling the Democrats negative, so they went out of their way not to appear so. This meant that they could not respond to the lies coming out of the Bush campaign.

Perhaps the Dems should borrow Karl Rove's favorite tactic. Find a way to use your opponent's greatest strength against him. Have everyone in the party keep repeating the same phrases over and over again until they seem like obvious truths.

For example, the Republicans have been seen as strong on national defense. To turn that into a liability, the Dems could start saying, "Yes, the Republicans seem to be very defensive." When every anyone mentions Republicans and Defense, the Dems say "defensive".
