You should probably have been given Vicodin, which is acetaminophen with oxycodone--for a 'synergistic analgesic' effect. Af far as your leftovers, you should destroy/dispose now. <pros/like candy> ha, personally, I beleive the body will simply adjust and build tolerance to any drug, so I do not like to take a lot of stuff. Thus the day on/day off system for sleep. My prescriptions for ambien and provigil for my shift worker insomnia have expired--neither drug seems to work well enough to pay for. The only truly useful drugs for me are cheapo generic chlortrimaton in the Spring for allergy releif, naproxin for aches and pains, and albuterol for my asthma. For being a big fan of biotechnology, I am pretty suspicious of the pharmaceutical industry. I suspect a lot of the billion dollar blockbusters should right now lose half their business to diet and exercise. (says he who got on an exercise bike yesterday for the first time in several weeks, heheh) ...and the sun is out in Seattle today! Signing off, to go outside!

<Pro's and candy>..LOL..Codeine is weird isn't it..Imo, there's a conspiracy to not make an analgesic that works..lose millions of repeat customers and billions of repeat doses..actually nothing that works 100% for that matter but that's a conversation for another day..I agree with Mike, throw it out..narcotics have been my drug to avoid..scared to death of them despite my pain phobia/revulsion..witnessed too many colleagues/friends ruin their lives..When I become end-stage then I'll open the spigot!-g- Elisabeth
