In follow-up to my previous post relative to Democrats being better able than Republicans to draw from a greater well of academics capable of helping to establish a sensible and rational government for all people (not just a few people!), I just finished watching C-Span II which featured a panel of experts who presented on the legality of Bush's NSA wiretapping controversy.

One of the panel members was William Galston, deputy domestic policy advisor during the Clinton Administration.

OK, let's compare him to two Republican examples, one a Reagan Administration deputy domestic policy advisor and the other a Bush "W" deputy domestic policy advisor:

Clearly, the difference is that Clinton's staff member believed in sensible government; whereas the Republican staff members each carried heavy-laden agendas into their positions.

This is a prime example as to why people today identify Bush as "incompetent."

Democrats need to be more like Willie Nelson, smart but down to earth, spiritual and goodly but a hit at the honky tonks. A peace-loving pot-smoker who carries a gun and drives a big truck, run by Willie biofuel.

You know, WIllie Nelson could probably beat GW Bush for governor of Texas. And he sings a song about gay cowboys.
