Crimson > The likelihood that the Balfour Declaration was the British payoff for Zionist efforts to get the US involved in World War 1 had a lot to do with HItler's fanatical hatred of the Jews IMHO-- and all the consequences of that hatred.

Without any doubt. Up until the time of WW1, and even afterwards through the Weimar Republic, Jews were considered as "true-blue" Germans and, in fact, Jews considered themselves as such. But there's no doubt that many Germans were seething with the fact that, because of the Zionist double-cross, as you mention, Germany lost WW1 and from a position when they had all but won it. Also, Jews were blamed for the very arduous conditions imposed on Germany at the Treaty of Versailles, especially the reparations. And, as if all that wasn't enough, Jewish banks and businessmen, particularly in the US, were held responsible for the purchase of German assets at rock-bottom prices after the hyperinflation and economic collapse of Germany in 1923. Thus Jews were seen to have taken advantage of the desperate circumstances of the non-Jewish Germans, most of whom lost everything. Indeed, the Weimar Republic, which followed the "reconstruction" of Germany, was a "Golden Age" for Jews, just like in Muslim Spain, before the advent of Christianity and the Inquisition, and also in the US, for the past 20 years or so.

Of course, none of this is ever spoken about today and most people don't know it.
