That is the gist of it and Mish's household tip is to NOT overstuff your freezer or you may end up with puddles of water on the kitchen floor and smoke in your microwave one day later.

Haha, you always make me laugh Mish - I thought we lived in a just in time society now? It is caught fresh from the sea or slaughtered fresh from the farm, delivered to your nearest deli, restaurant, grocer etc etc and you go get it FRESH - why introduce personal freezing into the process? I still use the freezer part of my fridge for a little bit of icecream when I am too lazy to go over to the baskin robbins and a few tv dinners when I am too lazy to get out of the house. I haven't went deer hunting in awhile, but back then I needed a freezer to store all the meat. Also used to bass fish a lot - needed a freezer then too. City life has changed me :(

I really don't see how so many people starve - there seems to be so many fish and deer still out there alive waiting to be consumed. Just the other night I was driving over to jacksonville and there were so many deer - I counted over 40 by the road in less than an hour - it was late and they were all out grazing. If my cousin had been with me there would be a few less bambis in the world. He just likes to kill stuff.

I am within short walking distance of several 24 hour places that have food (dunkin, walmart, pops diner, dennys, steak shake, mcdonalds) I used to enjoy taking the time to make a home cooked meal, but now that gets in the way of deathmatch with general chen online.
