Since our creation of nuclear bombs, most government politicos want nuclear bombs for themselves and not for others. This is human nature and not a big revelation as you seem to think it is.

Since this administration refuses to spend the few millions necessary to sop up old Soviet nuclear materials from the world, then it's arguable that this administration doesn't particularly care if Iran goes nuclear or not....regardless of what it says in public.

The more complex argument is why this administration does not do the basic and relatively inexpensive things that would make the entire world safer from nuclear weapons. To argue about invading Iraq instead of sopping up nuclear materials is absurd.
