If one does a point-by-point comparison of GWB with Teddy Roosevelt, it works out to an almost perfect arithmetical inversion.

GWB=1/TR

On a scale of 100, TR would rank (in my view) about 92, with only Washington, Lincoln, and possibly a few others above him.

That means GWB rates as 1/90 as a president, or 0.011111111.

That will be his ultimate ranking: 1.11111111% historical approval rating.

I love arithmetic.

Except I did my arithmetic wrong. It's 1/92. That's 1.08695% approval. But I prefer 1/90. All those ones seem just right.
