Another reason to consider moving money out of the USA and get a leg into another country & citizenship, just in case the USA gets really weird. The smart ones tend to make the protective moves first.

Funny, I have been seriously thinking the same thing. Canada is only 150 miles away......the climate is just about the same and Vancouver is a very cool city. I just don't know if they would accept me as a citizen.

The outrageous deficit and retiring boomers that demographically don't save enough for their retirement, is going to translate into outrageously high taxes for the working middle class on up.

You know I don't think that would be a problem if the economy were firing on all jets and if we had continued to reduce the deficit like what was happening during the Clinton years. But all bets are off now............everything is a huge burden to a disabled economy like the one Bush has created.
