RE: "If the country knew half of what goes on in S. CA, it would be afraid, very afraid."

It's not just S CA, its many parts of the USA. When I visited my parents, I drove to the downtown area but it was filled with angry people, cops, and teddy bears around a pole where a child was shot dead. You didn't see any news report about it either, as if it's standard inner-city stuff. The violence is horrible in the USA. I remember back when we could leave our cars and home doors open. California also has an enormous amount of crime that is just rattling to the soul, compared to what I saw in the midwest when we grew up. So many violent areas in the USA. It's the least talked about topic. I believe violent people tend to have more children than non-violent people, this may scew America's population into increasingly more violence with each passing generation. That's my guess.

Like Orlando. I have friends that are ex-Orlando cops. Nothing makes the papers.
