Are you saying that LBJ, McNamara, Nixon, and Westmoreland were not lying about the war?

LBJ knew in '66 that we would need more than a million troops, possibly more, to 'pacify' Vietnam, using the standard 10-1 ratio of troops-to-insurgents.

Nixon lied so many times I not surprised if he didn't have a 'Secretary of Lies' to keep things straight. No bombing in Cambodia, no operations in Laos, winning the peace, etc, etc.

Gulf of Tonkin.

Domino theory.

Kill ratios.

Areas of pacification.

Winning the hearts and minds.

Vietnamization.

Too many to properly list...

He wants to remember the heady days of the Vietnam back stab like some over-the-hill boomers like to pretend Woodstock was.

In reality Woodstock was an obscene mess, and the mis-named "peace" movement (really the "treason" movement) is, indeed, remembered-but by those Americans who got that knife in their backs.

Rose lives in a fantasy world where he is still getting away with anti-American murder...
