This set-up is not new to Sweden and it has been quite successful up there to open up new opportunities to young people.
Being confident and qualified nobody at age below 26 has anything against that.
My son as a matter of fact moved from a "safe" job with Apple Computer in Ireland to a rolling 3 months contract with Ikea in Sweden 9 months ago.
He took a serious compensation cut and an "unsecured" position but is very happy to finally work for his dram company.
Being a very talented and well educated young man he is also ready to prove that to secure himself a firm position.

In Denmark, BTW, you can terminate anybody by end of the month, period. Their economy is doing GREAT and their unemployment is very low.

Any, this is not about what things SHOULD be under ideal circumstances, this is about being pragmatic and keep the French and German disease at bay.
