I was talking about imposing your will on others here in the US where support for the war is crumbling. Point was that if public support for a war falls apart, your choices become limited. You cannot as president etc. indefinitely say we will stay the course. Thats why the admin is scurrying to find a way out before the coming election. At minimum they will look to keep american casualties down at a time when the nascent iraqi forces may need us most. This goes back to the intersecting lines scenario i painted the other day. Support for the war goes down here and iraqi inablity to form a govt and fend for themselves doesnt go up fast enough. You cant force the american people to support this war much longer. WE need some clear success on the ground, not the make believe battle of last week.
