Media control and ensuing spin .....it is probably a combination of things. Left wing media, CBC and their puppets, arts groups (govt funded), left leaning newspapers, etc. They all are beneficiaries of sorts... advertising revenues etc. There are a myriad of govt funded liberal organizations that in one way or another influence their staff to give thanks for funding at the polls :-) I don't watch much TV but I have noticed that Canadian programming has a tag line at the end of the credits that reads something like "this program brought to you through the generosity of the Canadian Film Tax Credit".
