By your definition Bill Clinton is a Bushbot since he actively worked to expedite the Dubai ports deal.

Is the reason you would consider it a travesty if Bush's unpopularity resulted in Congress becoming Democratic in 2006 the fact that you are a Republican?

Just asking whether you are GOP or not. If not, why do you think it would be a Bush-bred travesty if Congress went Demo in '06? If you're not GOP, it should either not matter or be a source of joy.

Do you not like the GOP but think the Dems are worse?

Just trying to clarify what appears to be an inconsistent line.

I don't think the full story of the Dubai ports issue is concluded. We DON'T know yet what groups passed the deal, and why they did...We don't know why there are evidently only two companies in the US that can handle the ports operations... We don't know why a private company from England had been handling the US port operations in the first place nor for how long, and we don't know why Dubai was the company who bought the British company. We don't know how many new employees would have taken up residence, nor do we know if there were any changes to be made at all. He**, we don't even know really why we have a ports operations from any other country, when it seems all the important operations were never slated to change. The Coast Guard still held sway on security, for instance.

SO why again was the Dubai ports deal such a big deal? ESPECIALLY so, since our Navy ships are already in the Dubai ports operational zones.....and Dubai is already a partner with the US on the ports.

WHY did the different groups pass the deal if it wasn't right? WHO Signed the papers?????

Do we really know what we should have known about this deal...or did the media just make a big deal out of it, and then drop it?

Where was Congress while the 45 days were passing?

Bush isn't the only person in the Republican party. For sure. BUT then again, look who else might be there.....Like Buchanan? Not me! Like Falwell? Not me! Like Chaffe? NO!

Is McCain stable?

And who on the Dem side imparts any wisdom and speaks with honesty, confidence and statesmanship? I can't think of any except Zell Miller and others like Sam Nunn who have retired now....
