I'm sure you've heard of the Northern Lights that display themselves at both poles of the earth, yes, there are also the Southern Lights at the south pole... well, the solar wind, which is comprised of intense radiation, is blown outward in every direction and therefore the Earth is right in its path... if it weren't for the Earth's magnetic field, we would be incinerated each time the sun sends out a wind... the Earth's magnetic field is the weakest at both poles, this is where the wind can be seen in the form of the Northern Lights... this blast of radiation is becoming more and more frequent and more intense, and our magnetic field is also beginning to weaken... in fact, the path of the magnetic field had reversed direction recently, ask you local scientists if you think I'm making this up... Eventually, here's what will happen: The temperature of the Earth will continue to rise until there is less and less fresh water to drink... plants will begin to diminish and no longer grow... we rely on plants to create the oxygen we all breathe, so there will eventually be less oxygen, the air will become thinner and thinner and it will become more and more difficult for us to breathe at all... the temperature will become so unbearable that we would have to live underground to escape the intense heat and radiation of the sun... gradually, the Earth will bake, the whole planet will look like a desert, the atmosphere will be gone, and we will be history... the planet Earth will look very much like Mars looks today... eventually, the sun itself will continue to expand until it fills all of our sky, of couse we won't be here to see that... the sun will eventually grow so large that it will engulf the entire solar system, the sun will become that supernova and will burn out and die... Check it out, educate yourself... Global warming as a political issue is so short sighted, I find it very comical... GZ
