As a bird flu play, Del Monte would not do well ..how would they transport and sell all their fresh produce?

I don't agree with this. I said I was looking for stocks that would do well on fears of bird flu, not during the bird flu. Nothing will do well during an outbreak. I'm looking for investments for now, while the bird flu is spreading around the world and people's fears rise. That's means you can make money on the things people are stocking up on--masks, water, canned food, etc. (Plus, I've been making money on bird flu biotech and shorting poultry.)

Del Monte also sells other canned and bottled food items. You can see the complete brand list here: delmonte.com

I'd have pasted it here but it's not in a format I can copy. It includes canned fruits and vegetables, dog food, baby food, tuna, and soup.
