You and E must be sisters. You guys are just too damn nice and sometimes imho it gets in the way of rational discussion. I fought with E awhile back on the wiretap issue vs saving our kids from an imminent attack. I would do anything to save my kids and i realize our government cant. But tapping al quaeda calls to the US is small potatoes for me. But thats me. Same with the article you posted. Indeed i did overreact. I re-read the story and it seemed to be straight reporting. But the writer and then you seemed to accept the likelihood of the articles truth concerning the atrocity described. Could the atrocity be true? Sure. But i would just think that any american of left or right would find this to be an unlikely scenario. Doesnt mean babies arent killed in war as collateral damage and at times knowingly when one is shooting at an enemy knowing kids are present. But this was mafia, columbian drug lord execution style killing. Sounds way impossible to me but what do i know. But you and E are ready to believe it almost at face value. Now you seem to have adjusted a bit as i have. I guess we needn't pay attention to the story, because if true it will cause a firestorm and rightfully so. I will try to be civil to you gals--E too--but in return i ask you to have an open mind as well and not believe all you read that is negative about the US. And in return i will do the same and accept, post abu grahb, that even a story like you posted is possible. Mike
